How you may become a ski instructor with Xtreme - Ski instructor lessons and courses

XTREME wants to train their own instructors targeting better standards than the average, trained to be the best and better prepared professionals. This is what we have in mind when we created a specific training program to achieve our goal: to be the best. After completing the different steps which are mandatory to acquire the minimum required skiing level to apply for an instructor professional degree. To apply for an instructor course you must take a technical skiing exam. Once you have passed the admission exam at the AADIDES (Argentine Association of skiing instructors) Xtreme offers you a complete training program which will let you develop the best skills to assume the responsibility of being a ski instructor which will guide people to the mountains with the necessary level of knowledge, experience and training.

Training for the technical ski admission exam

The technical skiing exam is the first step to enter the National Instructors Academy training system which will give you the opportunity to obtain the official diploma. In order to successfully pass the technical exam it is necessary to have a fine skiing level. XTREME has the best suitable tools to guide you through the path to success.

The first step is to take part in the advance performance skiers clinics which are weekly held at the Xtreme school throughout the whole skiing season (June to September). Then you should participate of the racing team training course. Finally there is a specific course for instructor applicants which will give you the necessary tools to pass the admission exam at the Academy which we call it "Instructor applicants training course". Once you have passed the admission technical exam (organized by AADIDES) and you had completed the first part of the course you will have the opportunity to work at our school as a beginners level trainer ski instructor.

It is mandatory to take a technical skiing test to join this group.

The groups would not be larger than 8 people.
Duration: 2 weeks approx.; 42 hs.
Begins: first Monday in September.
Ends: Mid September (depending on the admission exam date at the AADIDES )
Location: Bariloche; Catedral.



Program's topics:

· Slalom course-setting

· Freeride skiing: regular runs / off piste / varied terrain (sustained skiing for fitness development)

· Giant Slalom course-setting - we work together with the race training team of XTREME school and with third level ski instructors that are about to take the final ski instructors exam.

· Video analysis.

· Technical training on regular varied runs.

We recommend you to have a personal insurance coverage to cover the skiing sports risk.
